Clarinetist Yvonne Wang has been recognized for her artistry, versatility, and dedication to sharing music across cultures and communities. She believes in the power of music to express one’s deepest emotions that transcend the boundaries of languages. Through her competition prizes, she has established herself on international stages. She won first prize at the 2023 Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition and first prize of the 7th International "Nouvelles étoiles" Competition. In 2022, she made her orchestra solo debut with the Summit (NJ) Symphony Orchestra as the winner of their Young Artist competition. An avid chamber musician, Yvonne performs regularly with Sparks, her harp, violin, and clarinet trio, as part of the Gluck Community Service Fellowship at Juilliard. Since 2024, they have regularly performed in senior centers, hospitals, vision centers, homeless shelters, and other community venues, offering interactive programs that share educational and cultural experiences centered on the themes of ‘world’ and ‘love.’ By arranging classical, jazz, and pop pieces for this unique ensemble, she has helped shape the group’s identity as an engaging and approachable presence, offering audiences both connection and discovery. Apart from clarinet, Yvonne studied music composition for four years under Craig Levesque in Westminster Conservatory of Music, where she experimented with different musical genres, including traditional Chinese and jazz—a reflection of her diverse cultural background. Her works were frequently performed in Westminster Conservatory of Music. In 2021, she was chosen as the Composition Winner of the Achievement Award Competition at the Westminster Conservatory of Music.

Yvonne is now pursuing her Accelerated Bachelor/Masters degree at The Juilliard School, studying with Charles Neidich. She began playing clarinet at the age of eight. At the age of ten, she was admitted to the Elementary/Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. After moving to the United States at age 14, she was admitted to Juilliard Pre-College Division, where she studied under Alan Kay. In previous summers, she participated in Pacific Music Festival in Japan, Moritzburg Festival Academy in Germany, Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra in Switzerland, and the Aspen Music Festival in Colorad
