Shuyi Zhang received her Bachelor's degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Later, she received a prestigious scholarship from Azusa Pacific University to continue her music studies with Professor Marek Szpakiewicz in an Artist Certificate Program. Then, she received the Lefrek scholarship and the president's scholarship to study with Professor Marcy Rosen at Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music and Mannes School of Music to obtain her Master's Degree and Professional Studies Diploma. Now, she is a doctoral candidate studying at Rutgers University under Professor Johnathan Spitz.
