Daniel Meszaros

Clarinet

Daniel Meszaros is a dedicated clarinetist and educator currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Music Performance at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. With a strong international background and extensive teaching experience, Daniel brings both artistic excellence and a thoughtful, student-centered approach to his teaching.

Daniel has served as a Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University, where he teaches undergraduate clarinet students while also contributing to the department through administrative and creative work, including editing newsletters and designing concert materials. His experience reflects both strong musicianship and excellent communication skills.

Prior to his studies in the United States, Daniel taught clarinet and recorder at the Béla Bartók Elementary School of Music in Budapest, working with students ages 8 to 19. He is skilled in adapting his teaching style to meet the needs of each student, combining structured classical training with engaging, flexible methods to inspire growth and confidence.

As a performer, Daniel has received numerous awards in prestigious international competitions across Europe, including top prizes in Italy, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, and Russia. His achievements highlight both his technical mastery and musical artistry.

Fluent in both Hungarian and English, Daniel is passionate about helping students build strong fundamentals while developing a genuine love for music. His teaching focuses on tone production, technique, musical expression, and performance confidence.
