YUJIE WANG
(Viola/Violin)
Yujie Wang is a violist and scholar currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree in Viola Performance at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. He previously earned his Master’s degree in Viola Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and his Bachelor’s degree from Tianjin Conservatory of Music. As both performer and educator, Wang has appeared in numerous performances, both in orchestra and chamber music, in China and the United States. His academic interests center on Baroque music and Paul Hindemith in twentieth-century viola repertoire, exploring intersections between performance practice, music analysis, and pedagogy.
